What is your role within the Company?

As Senior Environmental Consultant – I am responsible for SAP/SBEM/Water Calculations, Overheating Assessments as well as Energy/Sustainability Statements.

How long have you worked at UKBC?

3.5 years now!

How did you end up working here?

I was on the verge of completing my MSc in Energy & Sustainable Development, I requested to connect with Tom on Linkedin as it showed that he had studied the same course as me. Tom then messaged me to ask if I would be interested in a role that UKBC had coming up!

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I recently got engaged so a lot of my time is spent wedding planning!

What aspect in your role do you think your strengths shine?

I think I’m quite organised which means that I manage workload well and am able to meet deadlines.

Has the company changed a lot since you joined?

A lot has changed, Tom and Melissa have become directors and we have moved into a new office! The new building regulations have changed my day-to-day role quite a bit, I now complete simplified overheating and TM59 assessments which didn’t exist when I joined!

Can you remember your first day at UKBC?

I started about a week after Callum so it was nice to have another newbie in the office! We both had a full day of training with Tom, it was a great way to get to know them both.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

I enjoy working with everyone at UKBC. We are a small team and get on really well. The communication and teamwork definitely makes my job easier, I know that if I need a hand or have any questions, someone will help me out!
