15 Years of Memories

As we can continue to celebrate 15 years of trading this September, we have asked some of our current team members to reflect on their time & most memorable moments here at UKBC…

Beth (Senior Environmental Consultant) – It has got to be our 2023 Christmas Party in Dublin. We visited the Guinness museum, Christmas market and plenty of pubs! Some of us may have had one too many pints of Guinness but it was such a fun day, topped off by eating a Burger King on the airport floor (something I didn’t think I would do with colleagues when I started working here!).

Tom (Technical Director) – Dublin aside, for me it has to be becoming a company director. It’s not something I ever expected when I first joined in the company as a graduate back in 2017 and I remember what a daunting but exciting opportunity it was. I am really proud how we have evolved over the years and the level of service that we offer.

Melissa (Managing Director) – I think for me the most prominent change about UKBC in the 9 years that I have been here are the systems that we use.  Upon joining the company in 2015, our jobs were logged on an Excel spreadsheet.  We have continually evolved changing our processes and introducing new systems to become a slick, organised and professional company.

Callum (Senior Test Technician) – My favourite thing about working here would have to be meeting all of the different clients I’ve met on site. I didn’t think that working at UKBC would mean I get to meet ex-professional football players/owners & testing their properties!

Justine (Admin Assistant) – I’m one of the newer staff members here, but Jamie getting bitten at a recent staff lunch was memorable! (Just to be clear this was by a dog!). It happened so out the blue, everyone was a bit shocked but fortunately he was ok.

Jamie hunt About us

Jamie (CEO) – I have really enjoyed the journey – from the birth of UKBC & being one of the very first companies to offer EPCs, to where we are today carrying out projects of 700+ units for SAP & recently air testing our largest ever building with an envelope area of 85,000m2.

Some of the highlights for me have been winning a young entrepreneur of the year award, the purchase of L1 Testing, surviving the Covid pandemic and the evolution of UKBC into a multi-disciplinary compliance company with staff moving up to become fellow directors.
